Why I Did This?
UX writing is a crucial aspect of UX design. The messages we convey to users ultimately influence their decisions. To improve my UX writing skills, I decided to undertake a 7-day UX writing challenge.
Day 1:
Challenge: A user is about to abandon their online shopping cart. Write persuasive copy to encourage them to complete their purchase.
Day 2:
Challenge: Write an error message that clearly explains the issue and offers troubleshooting steps (e.g., check Wi-Fi connection, restart device).
Day 3:
Challenge: Craft an error message that informs the user of the character limit violation in a friendly and helpful way.
Day 4:
Challenge: Write error messages for the following scenarios: Card declined
Day 5:
Challenge: Write a onboarding message for flight ticket booking app
Day 6:
Challenge: Write notifications for the following scenarios:New recipe available
Conclusion
Six days was too short for this challenge, but I did learn some valuable insights, such as making messages more engaging rather than just plain text. If you'd like the Figma file for this challenge, feel free to reach out to me on LinkedIn. Thanks for reading!
